Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages logistics personnel with the scheduling and coordinating of inbound, outbound, imports, and exports for GFG logistics
  • Monitors all shipments and leads GPS visibility initiatives and provides problem solving resolutions and expedited solutions
  • Facilitates communication between customer service and operations team by managing shipping schedules based on customer due dates and production schedules
  • Owns the end-to-end process for TMS management, carrier onboarding, dock scheduling platforms, training, and document management
  • Oversees the vetting process for external carriers, 3PLs and warehouse partners to ensure service levels and costs are optimized
  • Reports and evaluates metrics to include pricing, OTIF delivery, and quality to ensure the best value for both GFG and the customer
  • Participates in continuous improvement and productivity projects to identify issues and opportunities for process and productivity improvements
  • Complies with all company rules, regulations, and policies
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or relevant field
  • 3-5 years previous work experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Previous experience working in SAP and TMS applications preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

 

Work Environment:

  • Typical office environment
  • If plant access is required, the employee may walk through a wet production environment (38–40°F) and must wear personal protective equipment in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to move up to 20lbs occasionally

 

Travel:

  • This position may require some travel
