Job Responsibilities:
- Identifying and closing new distribution opportunities for Good Foods Group
- Maintain and grow existing business
- Manage and grow the business with our distributors
- Core competencies required for the role: business planning, forecasting, trade management, promotional planning and ROI analysis, customer and distributor P&Ls, leveraging data to drive insights, actions, and recommendations at the customer level
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, learn on the fly, and problem solve
- Relationships with customers across the West: Albertson, Safeway, HEB, Central Market, Raley’s, Stater Bros., Smart & Final, Gelsons, Winco, Harmons, New Seasons, Hungryroot, Go Puff
- Effectively penetrate the customer to build rapport at all levels and to fully understand the customer, their business, and the marketplace
- Aggressively pursue and lead their assigned customers to deliver their Business Objectives. Gross to Net Revenue, Margin, and ACV Growth, Distribution, Pricing, Promotional Effectiveness, and Optimal Shelving
- Conduct category & business reviews with their customers and broker partners to deliver their business objectives
- Strategic focus on increasing ACV, sales velocity, and securing new customers (white space)
- Proactively communicate customer specific needs with marketing to enhance post event velocity metrics
- Responsible for broker management to support the delivery of their goals and objectives
- Achieve New Item Authorization and Distribution goals with their assigned accounts
- Deliver promotional revenue objectives (ROI), by tactic, price point, drive period & selling event for their assigned categories and geography, and post event analysis
- Effectively execute Good Foods pricing strategies for all assigned categories for the customers
- Manage monthly forecast updates, trade revenue and deduction management, weekly sales updates and other key deliverables
- Responsible for maintaining files and business documentation as directed by Good Foods Policy & to thoroughly document business transactions with the customer
- Comply with all company rules, regulations, and policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Additional Skills:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid Driver’s License and insurable by Good Foods Group insurance company
- Understanding and experience managing customer P&Ls from gross to net and margin
- Experience in effective customer management and selling to achieve objectives
- Ability to work independently and to plan, organize and set/achieve priorities when performing work
- Superior interpersonal skills (written, verbal, presentation); ability to work within a Customer Business Team framework
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the Customer and gain their trust and respect
- Extensive Broker and distributor management experience, ability to impact business through indirect reporting relationship
- SPINS and Panel data
- Ability to deal with confidential information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Strong negotiation skills
Travel:
- Travel up to 50% of the time, as needed
