The Position: We’re looking for a Sales Engineer to support our international market. The role requires directly working with end customers, representatives, and distributors across the world and within diverse markets. The ideal candidate will be working collaboratively with our sales, engineering, and R&D team, finding solutions from both off the shelf standards to solution-based products.
Responsibilities:
· Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations;
· Assess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends, identifying sales opportunities.
· Develop accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features.
· Achieve department and organization goals by accepting ownership for completion of new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
· Recommend potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
· Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication.
· Travel to customer facilities to maintain relationships, view projects, and provide technical advice and support; create and deliver presentations
· Assist in maintaining accounts receivable for all accounts, including sending invoices, request payments on overdue debts, and keeping accurate records, and negotiating payment agreements when needed.
· Represent company at trade shows. Engage in technical discussions with new and existing customers, identify potential new customers
· Identify part numbers for incoming inquiries using PDM database; write formal proposals for large projects when required; determine technical requirements based on customer requests.
· Maintain CRM system; create new deals for new leads; create future sales forecast based on expected regular business and potential leads.
· Create and maintain price lists for standard product lines; distribute to sales representatives and customers.
· Give customers production updates and schedules when required; work with production and engineering teams to regularly identify status of each open order; send customers packing list upon shipments.
· Work with project management team to regularly communicate with customers; negotiate contractual scope changes as required;

Requirements
Requirements:
· Technical education/expertise in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering. Degree preferred but not required depending upon experience.
· Self-starter and fast learner who can adapt to an ever-changing environment.
· Ability to juggle multiple projects, with competing priorities in a fast-paced workplace.
· Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals including forecasting, prospecting, lead generations and relationship building.
· Travel required, 25 – 40% both domestic and internationally
· Familiar with CRM systems and practices
· Adept at all common computer/software programs such as Microsoft Office products and Adobe
· Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 a plus
