Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Responsible for safely and efficiently parking and retrieving members’ and guests’ vehicles while providing a courteous and welcoming arrival and departure experience.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations
- Able to operate a manual transmission vehicle
- Effective member/guest interaction skills
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with courtesy
Job Tasks/Duties
- Greets and acknowledges members and guests with professionalism and courtesy
- Assists members and guests entering and exiting vehicles; opens doors as needed
- Coordinates with valet team to ensure prompt and safe vehicle retrieval
- Maintains orderly flow of traffic in arrival and departure areas
- Provides accurate directions and club information as needed
- Monitors entrances to ensure only authorized persons gain access to the club
- Issues and collects valet claim tickets accurately
- Maintains clean, safe, and organized entrances, driveways, and parking areas.
- Attends staff meetings and required training sessions
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Some High School
The ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions
Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous valet or hospitality service experience, preferable in a private club, resort or hotel
High School diploma or GED
Experience operating manual vehicles
Licenses and Special Requirements
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record, which will be reviewed annually.
No moving violations or minor incidents in the past three years
No major violations (e.g., DUI) in the past five years
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
Able to run, bend, and stand for extended periods.
Able to safely enter, exit, and drive various vehicles.
Frequently exposed to moving vehicles, outdoor elements, and moderate to loud noise.
Occasional exposure to fumes, vibration, and weather extremes.
Able to lift, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.
Must meet the physical requirements of the position and work effectively in an active environment.
