The Food & Beverage Supervisor ensures high standards of appearance, hospitality, and service in both the dining room and banquet areas. Responsibilities include cleanliness of the dining room and banquet areas, timeliness of food service, and supervision of all dining room, banquet service, and bartending staff. The supervisor assists with member requests, celebrations, complaints, and concerns while ensuring the efficient operation of service and bar staff.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations
- Responsible for supervising service staff in both dining and banquet areas.
- Maintains a high level of member contact throughout service hours.
- Greets and acknowledges members and guests, learning their names and special preferences.
- Ensures total member and guest satisfaction during their dining and banquet experiences.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required roles during emergency situations.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach
Ability to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds
Continuous repetitive motions
Works in hot, humid and noisy environment
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- One to Three years of banquet supervisory and/or restaurant supervisory experience in private club or similar industry
- Knowledge of the private club industry’s food and beverage operations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related major
Licenses and Special Permits:
- Alcoholic beverage certification
- Food safety certification
