Summary

E-INFOSOL is seeking a Mid-Level Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support our federal customer in Washington, DC. The ISSO will serve as the principal advisor to the Information System Owner (SO), Business Process Owner, and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)/Information System Security Manager (ISSM) on all matters involving the security of information systems. This role requires a proactive and experienced cybersecurity professional who can ensure the implementation and maintenance of security controls and guide systems through the Authority to Operate (ATO) process.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Advise SO, Business Process Owner, and CISO/ISSM on all aspects of system security.
• Implement and maintain security controls to protect information system assets.
• Direct procedures to prevent unauthorized modification, disclosure, or destruction of data.
• Provide guidance on physical protection of information systems to other functional units.
• Develop and maintain documentation for ATO packages, including System Security Plans and Contingency Plans.
• Conduct network self-inspections and vulnerability assessments.
• Create and manage Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) based on vulnerability data.
• Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity policies and frameworks (e.g., NIST RMF).
• Report on the effectiveness of security controls and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system accreditation and continuous monitoring.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance 
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or information assurance.
• Demonstrated experience supporting ATO processes and RMF documentation.
• Familiarity with federal cybersecurity standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-53).
• Strong understanding of system security architecture and risk management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex assignments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CAP, or CISM.
• Experience with enterprise-level security tools and vulnerability management platforms.
• Prior experience supporting federal agencies or DoD environments.
