The Manager of Troop, Service Unit and Outside Rentals is a vital member of the Mission Delivery Operations team, supporting our day-to-day operations, long-term marketing and revenue goals, facility rentals revenue, community relations, and executive support which support the overall goals of the organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Mission Delivery Operations, responsibilities will include researching, soliciting, and scheduling internal (troop camping/camporee) and external (individuals/ corporations/ schools/organizations) facility rental opportunities including but not limited to school activities, business development/team building, and family/group events. The role will recruit, hire, manage and schedule part-time adventure staff. Additionally, the role will build monthly reports detailing rental schedules and revenue (real and projected for fiscal year), coordinate overall message and customizable collateral and sales materials for each facility, and the organization’s website, maintain relationships with other departments, community partners and GSEP facility staff.

 

 

Qualifications - Essential: 

  • Valid driver’s license, car, and proof of current insurance. 
    • Strong computer user skills in Microsoft office including Word, Excel and Outlook and applications such as Salesforce/Personify 
    • Able to learn new processes and ways of working quickly and efficiently. 
    • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills 
    • Able to learn, understand, and apply contact tracking system. 
    • Exercises good judgment and demonstrates initiative in solving problems. 
    • Values member relationships 
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. 
    • Ability to understand and monitor budgets and perform metrics. 
    • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds. 
    • Experience – 3+ years in event management or sales. 
    • Education – High School Diploma or GED, bachelor’s degree preferred. 

 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience - Essential: 

  • Must be results-oriented and have experience meeting day-to-day demands of a growing organization with an expanding technology infrastructure.  
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills. 
  • Must have the ability to learn and support new systems and applications. 
  •  
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Other

  • Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm with an hour lunch; some evening or weekend availability needed for property tours or additional support.
  • Maintain Membership as a registered Girl Scout. 
  • Ability to interact across all levels with a diverse population.
