What You'll Do:

The Environmental internship will provide a comprehensive and practical experience, equipping the intern with basic skills and knowledge necessary to begin a career in the Environmental field.

The primary responsibility involves assisting the environmental staff in updating environmental plans & procedures, implementing best management practices (BMPs), performing environmental audit site visits, and assisting in researching and implementation of sustainable practices throughout the organization. This position is in Mendota Heights, Minnesota; work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with start time flexibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Review and update environmental plans and procedures.

  • Research and help to implement BMPs for stormwater treatment.

  • Collaborate through research and implementation of sustainable BMPs across the company.

  • Utilizing AutoCAD, create and update site plans.

  • Identify and classify stormwater sampling locations.

  • Ability to travel to remote work locations as needed to perform audits and other tasks as required.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be currently enrolled and attending an accredited university/college environmental, civil engineering, geology, or similar program.

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
