Our instructors strive to change the world, one life at a time, by helping students reach their dreams through education. The MCCC is seeking a skilled instructor ready to share their expertise and industry knowledge with the next generation. The dedicated and knowledgeable Instructor has the ability to create, read, and interpret engineering drawings (blueprints) and operate multi-axis machines. They possess strong mechanical aptitude and a thorough understanding of maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of four-cycle gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems. The qualified candidate will develop and teach all phases of the program curriculum, monitor and evaluate student progress, and maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in accordance with accreditation standards. The dedicated and knowledgeable instructor is responsible for preparing students for employment by developing their skills on ATVs and motorcycles, as well as marine, industrial, and agricultural equipment.
STARTING DATE: January 5, 2026
SALARY: Appropriate placement on the Teachers' Salary Schedule, commensurate with experience and education, ranging from $51,573.00 to $81,279.00 annually.
REPORTS TO: Principal or Designee

WORK-WEEK/YEAR: 184 days per year
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid Ohio Teacher Licensure/Certification (173100 Power Equipment Technology, 010300 Agricultural Industrial Equipment) or the ability and willingness to achieve with a minimum of five years of industry-related experience, of which three years are recent. Experience in sales, service, and physical repairs. Candidates must hold at least two industry-specific training certificates granted by brands commonly found at the dealer level (e.g., STIHL Icademy Bronze Training, Braun, Honda TACS Training, Kawasaki, 4-Cycle EETC Engine, Electrical Systems EETC, etc.). Comprehensive knowledge of the diagnosis and repair of EFI engines, systems, and components, along with a strong understanding of electronic systems, electromechanics, hybrid electric systems, and battery systems, is required. An understanding of current and future EPA regulations. OSHA-10 certification. Arc, MIG, and TIG welding. Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to build rapport with high school students and many other stakeholders. Strong organizational skills. Ability to pass a criminal background check. Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 70 lbs. Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in various conditions. Ability to work cooperatively with a team. Effective written and oral communication skills. Valid Driver’s License. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Outlook. A keen belief in the value and worth of career and technical education, coupled with robust academic offerings. Ability to pass a criminal background check.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree or higher. Previous teaching experience. Experience working in a career-technical environment. Experience working with High School students. Current First Aid/CPR/AED, OSHA-30 certifications.
