GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
The Web Content Writer will produce high-quality, engaging content for the DBU website, a majority of which will be for DBU's Blog, degree programs and special content marketing projects, with the goal of increasing web traffic from non-branded keywords that will in turn increase the visibility of DBU in search engines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Prior experience as a web content writer.
- HTML/CSS experience. Basic Photoshop skills.
- Prior experience with web content management systems. Cascade CMS experience preferred.
- Strong research and analytical skills to select keywords to target in each article that support the overall goals of content marketing projects.
- Semrush, Google Analytics and Search Console experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifying topics related to specified goals and targets for web traffic.
- Researching and selecting keywords for articles and other web content.
- Writing articles and page content using DBU tone and voice while incorporating SEO best practices.
- Uploading and editing content using the Content Management System.
- Keeping up with emerging AI best practices (GEO) and incorporating them into the workflows.
- Adhering to DBU's branding, proofing and content processes and policies.
- Handling the proofing process. Making revisions based on the feedback received.
- Periodically evaluating the performance and rewriting and optimizing existing content.
- Implementing keywords and SEO best practices into existing content.
WORK SCHEDULE:
A minimum of 30 hours per week or more is necessary to meet the requirements of the program.
