Position Overview:
This position is responsible for oversight of TGP's micro-community, a non-congregate shelter specifically serving women and gender diverse people experiencing homelessness. This includes strategic and operational leadership, ensuring high-quality service delivery, staff management, and alignment with organizational goals This position must execute complex projects that align with TGP values and standards and that best meet the needs of members and promote inclusion, equity, and safety in our community. This role ensures high-quality services and compliance with funder requirements, including monitoring and evaluating the budget, contributing to strategic planning and leadership of new programs and initiatives, and reviewing progress and implementing quality improvements. The Director will provide direct supervision and support to program managers and staff.

Core Accountabilities:
- Demonstrate respect, cultural humility, and knowledge of trauma informed care in interactions with TGP members, staff, and collaborative partners.
- Participate as a core member of the leadership team, contributing to organizational goals and strategic direction. In collaboration with the leadership team, develops and aligns programmatic goals and objectives to TGP’s mission, values, and strategic plan.
- Provide growth-oriented coaching and supervision to program managers and staff on a routine and frequent basis, specifically through the lens of low barrier, trauma informed care, equity, and belonging.
- Develop, implement, and sustain program frameworks and initiatives to achieve contract outcomes, align with TGP's mission and values, meet funding requirements, and are responsive to community needs.
- Provide crisis intervention to members and intervene in mental health crisis or emergency situations.
- Ensure compliance with grants and contracts, including HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) data quality standards and reporting requirements.
- Manage the program budget in accordance with funder and organizational requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong community partnerships and represent the organization at meetings and other community events.

Requirements
- Advanced critical thinking and strategic planning abilities

- Ability to work autonomously or within a team
- Organized, efficient, reliable, detail oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to tailor communication to each audience
- Ability to problem-solve in emergency situations with a high degree of situational awareness and decisiveness
- Strong understanding of low barrier and trauma-informed care principles and skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
- Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Knowledge of homelessness, poverty, substance misuse
- Team management and supervision experience
- Lived experience of homelessness, housing instability, or poverty is valued
