About Nimble

Nimble is a robotics and AI company inventing and scaling autonomous logistics with intelligent robots to enable fast, efficient, and sustainable commerce. We’re developing generalized robot intelligence and building general-purpose mobile manipulator robots, the first in the world capable of performing all core warehouse functions. We've recently closed a $106M Series C funding round at a $1 billion valuation and we're continuing to grow our all-star team.

Our mission is to empower and inspire mankind to accomplish legendary feats by inventing robots that liberate us from the menial.

Our long-term vision is to invent the Autonomous Supply Chain – everything from the inside of factories and warehouses to your front door – using next-gen intelligent robotics to deliver faster, more efficient, and more sustainable commerce.

We were founded from the AI labs at Stanford and Carnegie Mellon. We’re backed by the World’s most prestigious investors and Nimble’s Board of Directors includes AI and robotics legends like like Marc Raibert (Founder of Boston Dynamics), Fei-Fei Li (Chief Scientist of AI at Google, Director of Stanford’s AI lab), and Sebastian Thrun (Founder of Google X, Waymo, Kitty Hawk, and Udacity)!

Join us to leave your mark on the future of robotics, AI, and logistics!

Role Summary
You will be the key development owner for the robot's End-of-Line (EOL) Test system, focusing on maximizing manufacturing throughput and assuring the quality of the final, fully integrated robot. This role is centered on enhancing the automated EOL testing framework and developing advanced kinematic and performance validation tests for the robot's motion and system functions.

Key Responsibilities
- Automated Framework Ownership: Own the development and optimization of the Robot Calibration Service, focusing on efficiency and test cycle time reduction.
- Test Case Implementation: Implement new automated system-level functionality tests for all major robot components (Arm, Mobility, Carriage, Compute), covering module functionality to robot action cycle tests.
- High-Speed Data Analysis: Develop judgement logic to process and analyze telemetry data to generate objective PASS/FAIL criteria and comprehensive reports.
- Kinematic and Accuracy Testing: Develop and maintain the software for external fixture-based testing and kinematic checks using metrology tools like laser trackers.
- Factory SW Deployment Integrity: Manage and refine the factory software deployment process.

Essential Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics or a related engineering field.
- 3+ years of experience in test automation development, with a focus on robotics or integrated electro-mechanical systems in a production environment.
- Strong programming skills in Python or C++ and familiarity with industrial control or robotic middleware (e.g., ROS/ROS2, custom control frameworks).
- Proven ability to work with and analyze high-speed sensor data (e.g., torque, force, encoder readings) to assess performance and diagnose system-level issues.
- Experience in developing or working with automated functional test stations and knowledge of kinematic calibration techniques.
