About the Role

As Stores & Maintenance Controller you will primarily be responsible for the development and upkeep of the store’s areas on site. You will also assist in the development of the health and safety systems for maintenance.

Duties also include:

  • Provide an effective stores service to the engineering department to ensure stores stocks are readily available to deliver high levels of plant reliability.
  • Purchase order analysis / manage revenue within the confines of budget limits.
  • Inputting stock onto the agility platform
  • Unloading / loading goods and allocate to the correct locations via use of FLT.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance leadership team to achieve Health and Safety objectives; analyse findings of past audits to drive and influence areas for improvement.
  • Manage the Eco-Online platform ensuring all COSHH related products on site are recorded on the system
  • Utilise the Reactec platform; capturing Hand Arm Vibration (HAVs) information for accurate measurements and creating ID tags for each tool
  • Analyse Insurance lifting reports for defects and aid Insurance inspectors during lifting equipment inspections.
  • Provide support with contractor control / monitoring.

Hours of Work:   8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday

About You

  • Current / valid RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS or CPCS forklift truck license
  • Be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
  • Team player as you will work closely with all of the maintenance department.
  • 2 years plus experience of working in a high production environment, primarily in the automotive, food or FMCG related industries.
  • Good exposure to health & safety standards
  • IT skills – working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Strong organisational & planning abilities
  • Possess high standards, a passion for improvement and a target/delivery focused approach.
  • Desirable but not essential - a working knowledge of SAP system & IOSH Managing safely certificate
