We’re looking for a passionate mid-weight UX designer to join our growing product design team and help craft intuitive, impactful digital experiences. About the Role:

What will you be doing?

  • Identify user needs and wants, and define the initial design requirements for multiple users and scenarios from a given brief.
  • Create user personas to represent different user types and their characteristics.
  • Develop user journey maps to visualize the user's experience across different touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and scope.
  • Apply critical thinking and analytical skills in solving complex product design problems, and generate design concepts, wireframes, and prototypes that communicate your design ideas and solutions.
  • Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Participate in user research activities, such as interviews, surveys, and usability tests, to gather insights into user needs and behaviours.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure design feasibility and implementation.
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of design systems and guidelines.
  • Ensure designs are accessible and inclusive to users with diverse needs.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and tools/technologies.
  • Support senior UX designers in larger design initiatives and projects.
  • Take ownership of smaller design projects or specific components of larger projects.
  • Communicate design decisions and rationale effectively to stakeholders.
  • You will be proficient presenting your work to internal teams such as UX/UI, marketing, frontend developers and other stakeholders, and to clients and end users.

About you: 

You will have a solid foundation in UX design principles and methodologies, combined with practical experience in participating in user research, identifying and solving user issues, creating design solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will already be taking on more challenging design projects as you continue to grow and develop your skills in the field of UX design.

  • A degree or certification in a related field such as Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, or Graphic Design. Alternatively, you may have completed relevant coursework, bootcamps, or online courses.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in UX design. This experience will have provided you with a solid foundation in UX principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • You will have a portfolio showcasing design projects and demonstrating your ability to solve design problems and deliver successful outcomes.
  • Experience of participation in user research is essential. You will be proficient in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including interviews, surveys, and usability tests.
  • You will have experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize design solutions. It is essential that you are competent working in Figma.
  • You will have a strong understanding of interaction design, visual design principles, and UI patterns.
  • You will be skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers. You should be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively to achieve project goals.
  • You will be able to identify user needs, define design requirements, and develop creative solutions to design challenges. You will be able to apply critical thinking and analytical skills to solve complex problems.
  • You will be able to iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing, continuously improving the user experience.
  • You should be able to demonstrate a willingness to adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies, and you will be committed to continuous learning and professional development.
