Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for an Inventory Coordinator to be based at our Houston, TX location. You will be responsible for daily inventory transactions in JDE. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of inventory control experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting. A minimum of a high school diploma. They will have a strong understanding of Microsoft excel, word, outlook, Basware, and knowledge of JDE or other warehouse management systems. Strong communication skills are extremely important. The ability to maintain work on a timely schedule and ability to adapt to situations. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.
What you’ll do:
responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage physical inventory transactions to improve inventory accuracy and meet site goals
- Conduct regular physical inventory transactions and reconcile with system records
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory transactions and system records. Assist process improvement and inventory control requirements
- Review and complete weekly and month-end balance adjustments
- Assist with JDE system daily workflow and troubleshooting process failures
- Work with the Warehouse, Quality, and Operations to assist with traceability of production inquiries
- Analyze inventory data, generate reports, set stocking levels, and identify opportunities for optimization
- Conduct Audits to ensure compliance of standard work, report infractions, and provide recommendations for process improvements
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and organizational needs

What you’ll bring:
- High school diploma preferred
- 3-5 years of related work-experience required
- Computer literate in spreadsheets and work applications, including Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Hands on, accountable team player with the willingness to learn as well as teach others. This position requires extensive time spent within a manufacturing environment
- Strong inventory management skills
- Working knowledge of AS400, and/or JD Edwards a plus
- Well organized and able to process large amounts of information

- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. The manufacturing plant is not climate controlled. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and safety work shoes. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted
Within 3 months, you’ll:
- Familiarize yourself with all raw materials and WIP produced on the floor and the standard processes required for receiving, storing, transferring, and consuming on the production floor
- Work with JDE & RFSmart to generate and process physical inventory transactions
- Ensure physical inventory transactions are in compliance
