We are seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to support the design, coordination, and implementation of electrical systems in mining infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for early-career professionals eager to grow in a dynamic, safety-critical environment, contributing to the development of high-voltage and low-voltage systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing electrical design packages to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
- Support the installation and testing of electrical systems including lighting, grounding, backup power, and control panels.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (MEP, commissioning, QA/QC) to address technical challenges on site.
- Participate in inspections, pre-commissioning activities, and energization processes.
- Help prepare documentation and reports for electrical scope and quality control.
- Learn and apply international standards relevant to mining operations (NEC, IEEE, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction projects.
- Basic knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Office; exposure to BIM or MS Project is a plus.
- Fluent in Spanish; intermediate English preferred.
