Job Title: Human Resources (HR) Generalist
Responsible to: Director of Human Resources
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The HR Generalist is responsible for sourcing, identifying, and screening entry-level, professional, clinical, technical, and managerial candidates for all open positions in the company. The HR Generalist is also responsible for providing a steady supply of qualified candidates to the hiring managers in as cost-effective a manner as possible. In addition, provide daily HR Support in the areas of employee relations, performance management, human capital planning, training, onboarding, benefits, and New Hire Orientation. This is a full-time, salaried position based in our East Providence office. Travel between RI & MA offices required as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
- Build strong relationships with all hiring managers to fully understand the needs of their departments and the requirements of the roles to be filled.
- While handling a high volume of open positions, responsible for full life cycle recruiting including: Sourcing, identifying, screening, interviewing, reference checking, extending offers and successful onboarding of candidates.
- Scheduling candidate interviews with managers including travel arrangements and accommodations when necessary.
- Selling University Orthopedics and the specific role to each candidate.
- Running background checks and processing all new hire paperwork including: E-VERIFY, HRIS updates, benefits enrollments, and completing all tasks per the new hire tracking sheet.
- Explaining University Orthopedics comprehensive benefits package.
- Maintain, and update University Orthopedics Recruitment and Applicant Tracking tools/sheets.
- Work with 3rd party recruiting firms when necessary negotiating for best rates.
- Help to build University Orthopedics employment brand by representing University Orthopedics at recruiting fairs and technical organization gatherings, as well as building relationships with local colleges and university representatives.
- Assist the Director of Human Resources with HR initiatives including benefits enrollment, new hire orientation, HR audits, HR filing, performance reviews, goal setting, management training, and other HR projects.
- Assist in any payroll duties and manage employee timesheets in ADP, as necessary. .
- Additional duties as assigned by the Manager to meet department needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree - preferably in Business, Human Resources, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years HR and recruiting experience, preferably healthcare recruiting.
- Must be able to travel to all UOI sites.
- Experience with high volume recruiting.
- Experience with the following recruiting methods: Social Media, Internet posting systems, Applicant Tracking System, Calendly, Networking, College Recruiting.
- Experience cold calling.
- Ability to anticipate and proactively manage Human Resources and overall company needs.
- Strong work ethic, internal drive, ability to work under pressure/deadlines, and persistent focus on the needs of the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, etc.
- Proficiency in graphic design system, Canva.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the health care field.
- Decision making and problem-solving resolution skills.
- Must be able to travel to all sites if/when necessary.
