Oracle Cloud ERP Functional Specialist - Projects and Grants bei Global Data Consultants

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst to work in a hybrid capacity, with 3 days on site at DC Office of the Chief Financial Officer in Washingtong D.C. This position requires candidates to be located within commuting distance of Washington D.C. and offers a collaborative work environment focused on Oracle Cloud ERP financial systems and process optimization.

As a Business Systems Analyst you will be responsible for solving complex business problems through process optimization, requirements gathering, and systems analysis. You will collaborate with internal departments and external partners to design and implement Oracle Cloud ERP solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards. Your role will involve translating business needs into functional specifications, supporting application development, and driving change management initiatives.

• Lead business architecture and process optimization initiatives across Oracle Cloud ERP and related applications.
• Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on user needs and industry requirements.
• Conduct hands-on business process requirements analysis and documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, design, and implement financial systems solutions.
• Translate business requirements into IT specifications and functional design documents.
• Provide knowledge transfer and support to application developers.
• Identify and address changes in business processes and patterns.
• Assist in identifying and implementing software solutions.
• Provide application support and training for business users.
• Write conversion, interface, reports, and extension functional design specifications.
• Support data cleanup, conversion, and reconciliation activities.
• Assist with month-end and year-end reconciliation processes.
• Review and provide feedback on design specifications developed by other analysts.
• Write white papers and solution recommendations as needed.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and conduct training sessions.
• Create trust and foster collaboration between Business and IT teams.

• 12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• 12+ years of experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• 12+ years of experience in requirements gathering and documentation.
• 12+ years of experience with MS Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• 12+ years of experience with Oracle Financials EBS/Cloud Suite.
• 12+ years of experience as an Oracle Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• 8+ years of experience providing production support for Oracle EBS/Cloud Applications.
• 8+ years of experience with Oracle ERP Cloud Project modules.
• Expertise in Oracle Cloud ERP suite, specifically Oracle Project and Grants modules.

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Grants module.
• Experience with Public Sector implementations.
• CPA Certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent work experience (10+ years).
