  • Position Title: Marketing Specialist
  • Reports to: Director of Marketing
  • Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,000
  • Location: Required to be based in Atlanta Area (hybrid)

Role Overview

As Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for providing general marketing and administrative support to the marketing department. This role focuses on organizing projects, maintaining deadlines, and coordinating with others to help keep marketing programs moving forward. Responsibilities may include assisting with collateral and design tasks, executing social media posts, preparing reports, managing inventory, and researching industry trends and platforms. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities:

Collateral, Signage, and Promo Materials

  • Supports creation of marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, whitepapers, case studies, templates, and presentations. 
  • Coordinates creation, production, ordering, shipping, and inventory of collateral with approved copy. 
  • Creates templates for presentation; revises templates as needed. 
  • Prepares, formats and edits a range of documents. 
  • Manages ordering, shipping, and inventory of promotional items for events, conferences, hiring.
  • Works with vendors to order and install various signage needs. 
  • Assists with small design and copy needs, as appropriate.

Research and Reporting

  • Helps identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation. 
  • Creates and interprets a variety of reports. 
  • Organizes market research. 
  • Analyzes questionnaires and other forms of feedback. 
  • Researches best platforms, software, and vendors for various needs.
  • Evaluates success of campaigns and initiatives upon completion. 

Social

  • Supports management of social media accounts. 
  • Assists with creation of content calendar.
  • Schedules posts and pulls reporting metrics. 
  • Engages with online audiences via direct correspondence and community groups.

Conferences and Events

  • Identifies key sponsorship and speaking opportunities.
  • Manages registration and travel logistics. 
  • Coordinates collateral, booth, and shipping needs.
  • Assists with event planning and logistics. 

Administrative 

  • Performs general administrative duties including but not limited to correspondence, filing, organizing, shipping. 
  • Maintains and orders supplies for the marketing department as needed. 
  • Learns and works with various types of software for digital marketing. 
  • Provides administrative support and performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Collaboration

  • Collaborates with the Director of Marketing, key stakeholders, and internal teams on marketing strategy. 
  • Serves as key liaison between department and internal and external partners. 
  • Works closely with marketing, sales, and communications departments. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field.
  • Marketing assistance or administration experience.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organization skills.
