We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as Senior Threat Research and Intelligence Analyst reporting to Manager Forensic And Threat Intel.
A bit about your role
The Senior Threat Research and Intelligence Analyst at nbn is a key leadership role within the Security Group, responsible for driving the organisation’s threat intelligence strategy across cyber, physical, and personnel domains. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on operational duties, including leading complex intelligence programs, producing high-quality intelligence products, mentoring junior analysts, and engaging with stakeholders to identify intelligence needs.
The analyst plays a critical part in shaping security capabilities by researching emerging threats, recommending remediation actions, and continuously improving threat intelligence processes and practices.
A bit about you
The ideal candidate for the role will have extensive years of experience with a strong background in cyber security, threat intelligence, and analytical reporting—preferably gained in federal government, military, or law enforcement environments. They possess deep expertise in the intelligence cycle, threat modelling, and frameworks such as the Diamond Model, Kill Chain, and MITRE ATT&CK.
The role requires exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, along with the ability to operate under pressure, manage ambiguity, and lead adaptive challenges. Candidates should have at relevant experience and a proven ability to conduct OSINT investigations, manage large datasets, and drive performance improvements.
