The Accounting Manager oversees all aspects of accounting including review of staff audit work as well performing accounting work, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, A/R billing and reconciliation, chargeback inquiries, travel agent commission payments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews daily audit work for completion and correctness.
- Prepares journal entries and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
- Prepares daily and weekly Wholesale and A/R billings
- Applies payments received for Wholesale and A/R billings. Makes adjustments for billing errors as needed.
- Prepares deposits for A/R and Miscellaneous payments received
- Handles guest inquiries related to hotel and F&B charges.
- Assists with audit coverage as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Preparation and filing of various tax returns and licenses.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years of previous experience in similar position within the gaming industry. Bachelors’ Degree in Finance or Accounting-related field preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Nevada Gaming Control Board registration required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
