Job Overview

 

You will play a key role in planning and managing efficient delivery routes for our DSD, Hotel, Backhaul, and territory transportation fleets. Using routing software such as RoadNet Anywhere, you’ll ensure maximum fleet productivity, on-time deliveries, and superior customer service by strategically planning routes and providing ongoing real-time support for drivers and transportation leadership.

 

What does your day look like? Some of your duties may include:

 

  • Develops daily route assignments based on scheduling and customer requirements, utilizing RoadNet Anywhere for route standardization.
  • Assists the Transportation dept. in addressing corrections or changes by providing research or local routing knowledge.
  • Responds/reacts to drivers as well as road problem situations ensuring maximum on-road efficiency and optimum customer service.
  • Performs routine route analysis and planning for new and/or additional routes.
  • Monitors and prepares reports to provide daily feedback on staffing and workload performance to ensure daily productivity.
  • Handling scheduling of PMs and driver assistance.
  • Scan/File all proof of delivery documents in for each business day.
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns.

 

Things you need to be able to do:

 

  • Knowledgeable of RoadNet software and or experience with similar routing software acceptable, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Geographic knowledge of routing service preferred. Ability to compile and interpret analytical data and act independently in making workload and resource allocation decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Strong written and verbal skills are also required when addressing issues and concerns related explicitly to order scheduling.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while managing data flow.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs above the waist as needed.
  • Flexibility to work some weekends as required.
  • Comfortable working in seasonal weather conditions.

 

Things that are a plus:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of routing, logistics, or transportation planning experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
