Job Description

Assists in the analysis, investigation and research of financial performance of clinical services across the Health System to support operational and financial management efforts. Assists in preparing monthly reports related to patient service volumes to assist Finance Leadership with understanding performance relative to planned results. Assists in modeling and projecting financial results for new / revised programs to support strategic analyses and decisions.   Assists in the evaluation of industry, financial, and market trends to forecast the Health Systems’ future financial position. Types of data analyzed may include patient service revenues, operating expenses, purchasing costs, detailed clinical billing data and related medical codes that are protected health information.  This position requires strict adherence to policies to protect all patient related information that is used as part of the job. 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in Accounting, Cost Accounting, Budgeting, Financial Analysis and/or Hospital Reimbursement. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office products suite is required. Proficiency with Excel and Word is preferred. Access and PowerPoint are helpful. Knowledge and experience with one or more enterprise business systems is preferred.  Preferred systems - Workday, EPIC (patient billing system), Strata Decision Technology Software, Tableau, Access. Must be able to handle multiple projects and manage to achieve deadlines. Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills; and demonstrate the ability to work independently and take initiative for process improvement.
