Job Summary:
ArborWorks is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project and Proposal Manager to lead the development of strategic proposals and manage bid processes across utility, municipal, and agency contracts. This role combines leadership in proposal management with technical writing expertise to craft compelling, client-focused narratives that reflect ArborWorks brand, values, and winning strategies. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the Project and Proposal Manager will oversee bid specialists and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure high-quality, compliant submissions.

Proposal & Bid Management
- Lead the full proposal lifecycle from opportunity identification through submission.
- Develop andmaintainproposal content, ensuring compliance, clarity, and strategic alignment.
- Manage multiple high-priority bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Maintain deep knowledge of procurement platforms (e.g., Ariba, Wood Mackenzie,BidNet, Zycus).
- Track deals and ensure data integrity within CRM tools (e.g., Pipedrive, Salesforce).
- Provide executive-level summaries and status updates on bids and submissions.
Content Development & Technical Writing
- Interview project teams to extract story-worthy insights and technical details.
- Translate complex concepts into clear, engaging language for non-technical audiences.
- Write and edit project approaches,logisticsplans, and proposal narratives.
- Maintain boilerplate materials for proposals, marketing, and recruiting.
- Ensure alignment withArborWorksbrand voice and style guidelines (AP and internal).
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise and mentor bid specialists and administrative support staff.
- Collaborate with operations, safety, HR, marketing, and executive leadership.
- Incorporate feedback from subject matter experts diplomatically and effectively.
- Coordinate cross-departmental inputs to develop cohesive and compelling proposals.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in proposal management, technical writing, or business development.
- Proven success in developing compliant, high-quality proposals under tight deadlines.
- Experiencemanaging direct reports and cross-functional teams.
- Strong interviewing, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Adobe InDesign preferred.
- Experience with procurement platforms and CRM systems.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and responsiveness.
- Availability to respond to urgent requests outside standard business hours when necessary.
- Familiarity with public procurement standards and contract structures
