What We Need:

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join McCLARIN Composites at our corporate headquarters in Hanover, PA.


Are you:

  • Someone with the ability to organize and plan work effectively to meet goals and objectives.
  • Someone with strong oral, analytical and written communication skills and ability to convey business requirements and technical needs in a clear, concise, and effective manner.
  • Someone with knowledge of basic accounts payable processes and practices.
  • Able to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. 

A Day in the Life of:

  • Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization 
  • Reconciles cash disbursement accounts 
  • Monitor cash balances and reconcile discrepancies weekly 
  • Performance daily bank reconciliations for cleared items 
  • Manage positive pay and respond to errors, inquires as required 
  • Process cash transactions, including receiving and disbursing funds 
  • Prepare and issue cash calls to partners or stakeholders as needed 
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to track expenses and contributions 
  • Maintain accurate records of cash movements 
  • Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the   appropriate accounts 
  • Monitor and process all 1099s for accuracy 
  • Manage new vendor set up and ensure accuracy in ERP 
  • Assist with general ledge input and account reconciliations for AP or miscellaneous payables and prepaids, ensuring complete accuracy  
  • Complete standard monthly journal entries as they relate to AP 
  • Assist accounting team with month-end close 
  • Assist with complex AP inquiries and provide support as need 
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • Manages the AP Module in the ERP System, S2K 
  • Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures. 
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 




Requirements

What Makes You Qualified:

  • Associate's degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience 

Must Haves:

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) 
  • Understanding of GAAP with the ability to adhere to regulatory compliance 
  • Solid foundation and understanding of financial accounting 
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks effectively  
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion 
  • Proficient in ERP system, preferably S2K, Sage or other robust systems
