Director of Programs
The target hiring range for this position is $95,000-$103,000.
Position Summary:
The Director of Programs will lead the strategic planning, development, and management of Nightingale Foundation’s programs, including scholarships and educational initiatives. This role ensures programs align with the Foundation’s mission, meet community needs, and deliver measurable outcomes. The Director of Programs will oversee program implementation, evaluation, compliance, and team management, working closely with the Director of Community Engagement to ensure community-informed design and partnerships drive program success.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of all Foundation programs, including scholarships and education initiatives.
- Manage program staff, interns, and volunteers, ensuring effective delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
- Establish and monitor program performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate impact.
- Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and compliance with donor and grant requirements.
- Collaborate with the Director of Community Engagement to co-design programs informed by community needs.
- Support fundraising efforts with program insights, reports, and impact data.
- Represent the Foundation at events and conferences to share programmatic impact.
- Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to expand or enhance programming.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- 4+ years of experience in corporate and/or nonprofit program management, youth educational programming, community events, or related roles,
- Demonstrated success leading community initiatives, youth educational programming and/or community partnerships.
- People leadership and management experience of at least 3 years, 5+ preferred.
- Experience in developing large scale, programmatic annual and multi-year plans, budgets, and supporting the execution of those planning efforts.
- Experience in grant compliance and donor reporting.
- General Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong leader with demonstrated success working productively as a team member. The ability to inspire collaboration and teamwork within the Foundation Team, across other departments, and with internal and external leadership.
- Exceptional organization and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with great attention to detail.
- Outstanding written and oral communications skills.
All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will pay for travel and lodging accommodations.
