- Responsible for acquiring and developing new business leads;
- Prepare/ enter quotes/proposals and/or other sales initiatives in the tracking system;
- Respond to RFQ’s (Request for Quotes) by researching cost and market pricing;
- Research/ track in house surplus inventory, gather all documentation and upload in the inventory system;
- Responsible to research vendors, issue purchase and/ or repair orders and ensure timely follow up;
- Create and prepare invoices for related sales orders, ensuring that all applicable taxes and charges have been captured;
- Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects;
- Ensure that all communication with new or existing customers is logged into a CRM system;
- Prepare and analyze data to build a sales pipeline, update and maintain the sales department database;
- Offer professional, effective and efficient solutions for customer inquiries including internal/external concerns;
- Provide guidance on price competitiveness;
- Participating in trade shows or associated product meetings when necessary;
- Other duties/tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Post-secondary education in a Business related field;
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience;
- Basic MS Office suite, Outlook and Acrobat experience is required;
- Very detail oriented with a focus on process improvement;
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills;
- Ability to interpret and analyze sales data;
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Excellent selling and negotiation skills;
- Good presentation skills and ability to multitask;
- Excellent communication and client management skills;
- Occasional travel required.
