Position Description

Represents TTUHSC(Texas Tech Health Sciences Center) School of Health Professions(SHP) Office of Admissions and Student Affairs to prospects, applicants, current students, SHP team members, and institutional partners to foster student engagement, student success, and achieve enrollment and retention goals in alignment with the mission and goals of the school and university. The Multimedia Specialist designs content for media platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging, and meaningful to news consumers. The position promotes a favorable and consistent image of the department and the university for internal and external audiences.

Major/Essential Functions

Website Creation & Maintenance
  • Design visually appealing and user-friendly web pages within the templates available for TTUHSC.edu.
  • Ensure accessibility and mobile responsiveness.
  • Create icons, banners and interactive elements to enhance user experience.
  • Work with IT and the Institution’s Communications & Marketing teams to update and optimize site performance.
Graphic & Digital Content Creation
  • Design and create graphics, infographics, and other visual content for the School’s webpages on TTUHSC.edu, as well as for use across various multimedia and digital platforms.
Video Production & Editing
  • Produce promotional videos showcasing programs, faculty, and student experiences, aligned with institutional branding.
Photography & Visual Storytelling
  • Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos for student and faculty testimonials and campus highlights in alignment with the institutional branding.
  • Maintain a digital media library for website and marketing use that is shared with the Institution’s Communications & Marketing team.
  • Create icons, banners and interactive elements to enhance user experience.
User Experience (UX) & Interface Design
  • Planning and requesting navigation and minor UX/UI enhancements within the school’s website section from the Institution’s Communications & Marketing team (not structural changes to the institution-wide platform).
Branding & Marketing Integration
  • Ensure the Institution’s brand is effectively represented throughout the school’s section of the Institution’s websites.
  • Submit website visuals, marketing campaigns and major digital assets to the Institution’s Communications & Marketing team for brand approval.
Collaboration & Project Management
  • Work closely with SHP leadership and IT to ensure accurate content.
  • Collaborate regularly with SHP leadership and IT to ensure content is aligned with institutional goals and priorities.
  • Facilitate consistent collaboration and coordination with the Institution’s Communications & Marketing team, ensuring content aligns with institutional priorities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in web and multimedia design.
  • Assist with TTUHSC School of Health Professions events.

  • Experience with Web Design & Development: Modern Campus, HTML/CSS, JavaScript (optional).
  • Experience with Graphic Design: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience with Video Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro.
  • Experience with Photography: DSLR/Mirrorless camera proficiency, Adobe Lightroom.
  • Experience with UX/UI Design: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD.
  • Experience with Accessibility Compliance: WCAG standards.
