Great things are happening at the T. Marzetti Indianola facility and as we continue to grow, we are seeking team members who will grow with us on our journey towards world class operational excellence. The Training Coordinator is responsible for supporting our Training initiatives and programs. The Training Coordinator helps our HR Department serve Production, QA, CIP develop, review, and coordinate our Training documentation including Standard Operating Procedures, Job Aids, Skills Matrices, and more.

Responsibilities:

-Training Program Coordinator and Support: Creates tools and resources. Key advisor to PLT on The Program. Responsible for Program reporting.

-Ensure functionality and application of Ramsay Testing regarding vacant roles. Working with plant leadership to close knowledge gaps.

-Supports consistent development of SOPs. Develops training documents such as Qualification Cards. Ensures the correct implementation of Training Program standards.

-Give dedicated input into the rollout and maintenance of POKA and Summit.

-Key driver of the Production Lead Program, Developing tools and resources, interviewing.

-Partners with EHS, HR, QA for onboarding and training compliance. Delivers facilitator led trainings Develops ways to improve training retention and effectiveness.

-Participates in Operational Excellence, special projects or tasks, and modification programs as needed with prior approval.

-Actively participates in department/shift/team meetings as requested and is involved with improvement/resolutions & follow-up.

-Maintains highest standard of Safety for all functions on an ongoing basis and ensures compliance for self and others to OSHA standards.

-Performs daily inspection of all PPE required including but not limited to SLIP-RESISTANT/STEEL-TOED SHOES, safety glasses, gloves, shields and aprons to ensure good overall condition of items that provide optimal personal safety & protection while working in the facility.

-Successfully acquires and maintains Lock Out-Tag Out Certification for machine and safely performs all functions in accordance to OHSA and company requirements and standards.

-As a member of the T. Marzetti Company, completes his/her Behavior Based Safety Observations (BBSO), corrects issues when identified, and participates in problem solving.

-As a member of the T. Marzetti Company, completes his/her Behavior Based Quality observations (BBQs), corrects issues when identified and participates in problem solving.

-Ensures compliance to quality, food safety / HACCP, FSMA, Food Defense, 5S, OSHA and other support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards.

-Communicates any concerns related to product safety, integrity, quality and legality to management or to the confidential hotline if the need for anonymity is necessary.

-Promotes integrity, respect, accountability, continuous improvement and positive interactions with all Team Members

-Responsible for meeting established objectives pertaining to plant Training goals

-Develops, reviews, maintains Training documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures, Job Aids, etc.

-Routes any document edits for proper approval through Management of Change process

-Ensure that all existing process documentation is controlled with a document control number

-Creating content and/or revisions for departmental training documents

-Revise and edit existing training documents and route for approval and training

-Maintains standard templates for training documentation

-Escalates deviations from standards immediately to HR Manager

-Acts as a backup for various trainers for train-the-trainers, Accelerated Onboarding, etc.

-Regular Attendance is required in accordance with Company attendance policy and procedures.

-Performs tasks or responsibilities as assigned by Management.

 

Other Responsibilities Include:

-Processes payroll and attendance tracking for all plant employees.

-Captaining the TOR and IDP process.

-Collects and validates information, compiles records, and submits temporary employee time cards and correspondence.

-Ensures compliance to all federal, state and local laws and company policies. (e.g. I-9 processing)

-Performs typing, data entry, filing, and organizing; coordinates all outgoing mail.

-Maintains confidential electronic and hard-copy employee data, files and records for the location.

-Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company,        customer and government standards.

Qualifications:

-Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in Training, Process Improvement

-Experienced in training tools and resources best practices

-Nimble Learning and Ability to work in ambiguity

-Innovative in continuous improvement

-Strong reporting ability in working with metrics and giving insights

-Supported internal customers with strong, effective coaching and influencing

-Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)

-Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

-Ability to work independently and work with minimal supervision.

-Proficient in Microsoft office applications, specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word
