Summary
Custom Truck One Source in Union Grove, Wi has an opening for an experienced Retail Parts & Sales Specialist with a background in heavy & light duty vehicles. They will be responsible for interactions with the customers, seeking out and soliciting parts business to achieve sales goals, and ensuring parts are properly inventoried and in stock in the showroom.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Politely answer phones and greet customers as they enter the parts showroom.
- Aggressively expand parts sales and meet and/or exceed sales, margin and profitability targets.
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of accounts and calling upon prospective customers to expand our customer base and solicit parts and service sales.
- Communicate effectively with both customers and internal members, in effort to sell company parts over the phone and counter.
- Assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials, and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
- Refer to parts catalogues and equipment manuals to identify the correct parts for specific make, model and year of vehicle.
- Provide information about Custom Truck One Source such as: New and Used Trucks, Services, and Rentals as well as promote new products and services available.
- Locate availability of parts if they are not in stock and follow up on back-ordered parts.
- Create parts orders in our computer system and keep orderly records of all invoices and special order parts.
- Coordinate sales activities with the store location including order entry, price quotes, payment, schedule, delivery, etc.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; recommending changes in products by evaluating results & competitive developments.
- Assist in picking up and delivering parts to customers as needed.
- Assist in warehouse when needed and perform physical inventory counts.
- Stock and clean the showroom.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Previous parts sales experience
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Knowledge of heavy and light duty trucks and equipment preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Extremely detail oriented and accurate
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Setting priorities and adapting to changing work priorities
- Must be self-sufficient and driven
- Meeting deadlines and schedules
- Must have a strong attendance record

- Must be outgoing and sociable
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Needs to be proficient on a computer and have the ability to learn new programs quickly. Must be able to use Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be able to work independently and create innovative solutions to problems with minimal direction from supervisors.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing a positive service experience. This includes internal client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Able to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively before individual customers or groups of customers or employees of organization or parent organization.
- This job requires "people" skills and a genuine desire to service the client. A positive attitude and willingness to maintain a professional demeanor with clients and team members is essential to this position.

Working Conditions
- Majority of work performed in shop or office setting
- May be exposed to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.
- Work as scheduled with punctual attendance 7:30 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday plus any additional hours/days necessary in order to meet business demands.
Physical Requirements
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.
- The ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to see things in close proximity whether through natural or corrected vision.
