Job Summary

Responsible for providing executive assistance and support to the Vice President. Performs clerical and administrative support tasks. Establishes work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness of assigned operations. Responsible for ensuring compliance with established corporate standards. Familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

The incumbent must have maturity and confidence in dealing with senior executives and handling sensitive and confidential information.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Associate’s degree in business or other related discipline preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
  • Proficient with use of software including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects
  • Self-starter who is able to anticipate needs and is capable of performing duties that require judgement, initiative and discretion with minimum supervision
  • Strong analytical, problem solving & negotiation skills
  • Minimum years of job-related experience required is 5.

Job Duties

1. Responsible for proactively managing the Vice President's

expediting the flow of the work through the office. Develop and manage prioritizing requests for access to the top company officials.

2. Provides support to the Board of Directors under the direction of the Vice President. 

3. Perform complex assignments to help the Vice President with their daily duties.  These assignments require the incumbent to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment, where the assistant will be required to balance multiple priorities.

4. Leads the interface of the Vice President with direct reports and other key executives of the corporation.

5. Arrange travel itineraries (including booking hotel, transportation, airfare and restaurant reservations) for the Vice President.
