Must be able to set priorities, create and manage work orders, delegate jobs, help maintain parts inventories. Work with Production Supervisors to give estimate times of completion for maintenance actions and help to establish windows for maintenance to minimize down time. To hire, train, motivate, and develop maintenance personnel by mentoring employees, following discipline guidelines, enforcing attendance policies, and setting an example by personal work ethic and professional interactions. This will support the maintenance goal to minimize or eliminate any adverse effect on processing, packaging, and storage of frozen fruit due to equipment breakdown.
Responsibilities:Primary Accountabilities:
- Understands the hazards of ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems.
- Monitor and record system information as necessary, report any abnormal conditions, and ensure proper communication across shifts.
- Work with Production Supervisors and Planners to estimate times of completion for maintenance activity and help establish equipment downtimes for maintenance to minimize the effect on operations.
- Lead others effectively by setting priorities, creating, and managing work orders, delegating jobs, and follow-up to ensure good work practices are used and work is completed.
- Diagnose, analyze, investigate, and correct most causes of malfunction of facilities and utilities equipment.
- Keep work areas clean, neat, and orderly.
- Isolate systems of all potential energy and hazards to ensure proper Lock-out/Tag-out for maintenance work.
- Effectively manage departmental budget and deliver against defined objectives.
- Use data (CMMS, Helios) and observations to analyze problems and develop alternative solutions.
- Hire, train, motivate, and develop maintenance personnel, mentoring employees, following discipline guidelines, enforcing attendance policies, setting an example by personal work ethic and professional interactions.
- Work with other Supervisors, Planner, Engineering, and Management to implement best practices.
- Must follow and enforce all company policies, safety procedures, GMP’s, and government compliance requirements.
- Other duties that is reasonably associated with the above functions of the job.
- Supervise Technician Level I, II, and III not to exceed more than fifteen employees and contractors.
Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:
- Ability to obtain working understanding of a CMMS system. Document work completed, assign time, and assign parts to proper WO.
- Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures of fresh to frozen food processing and packaging.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Creativity and latitude are required.
- Good working knowledge of water delivery systems, pumps, and waste water equipment and systems.
- Strong knowledge of various components used in cold storage, food processing, and facility equipment.
- Must work well under pressure and always ensure safe performance.
- Must demonstrate a cooperative behavior with subordinates, peers, and management to foster an environment where innovation and cooperation are used to solve problems.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Read and interpret CAD Drawings blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
- Working knowledge of GMP’s within a food manufacturing facility.
- Must be fluent in English, bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Competent computer navigation for HMI, CMMS, access procedure folder on network, and E-mail proficiency.
- SAP experience preferred, or able to learn SAP applications.
- 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs

Education & Certification:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
- AA Technical Degree
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Must be able to work in a temperature range -15F to 120F.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Requires standing, stooping, twisting, lifting, and other physical movements requiring full range of motion.
Work Environment:
- Industrial plant environment with related noise and temperatures.

Hiring Pay Scale: $__$70,000 to $80,000_______
