Description
The Project Coordinator provides support to the PMO (Project Management Office) by assisting project managers in planning, tracking, and executing projects. This role is ideal for someone early in their project management career who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn. The Project Coordinator ensures project documentation, schedules, and communications are clear and up to date, helping the PMO deliver successful projects on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking
- Prepare regular progress updates for stakeholders and leadership
- Maintain project documentation including project charters, timelines, meeting minutes, and status reports
- Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, and track action items
- Assist in monitoring project budgets, risks, and deliverables
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, updating project dashboards, and maintaining shared PMO tools
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of timelines and deliverables
- Facilitate communication between departments and external vendors
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the PMO
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, or similar)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Exposure to project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Jira, or similar)
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
- Interest in pursuing project management certifications (CAPM, PMP, or similar)
- Experience in manufacturing environments
