We are seeking an Deployment / Customer Success Engineer (Technical Program Management focus) who will own and drive EMR integration projects in partnership with our customers’ IT and clinical teams. This is a post-sales role that blends technical expertise, program management, and healthcare integration knowledge to ensure successful deployments and long-term success of Suki solutions in complex healthcare environments.
What will you be doing?
- Integration Ownership: Lead EMR integration programs with healthcare organizations post-sale, ensuring smooth onboarding, deployment, and long-term support.
- Customer Engagement: Act as the technical liaison between Suki and customer IT/clinical teams, building trusted relationships and ensuring technical alignment.
- Program Management: Develop and manage integration project plans, track deliverables, and ensure milestones are met on time while managing risks and dependencies.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Support and resolve complex EMR integration issues, leveraging Mirth Connect, SQL databases, and healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, CCD, X12).
- Production Support: Proactively monitor live integrations, address performance issues, and ensure stability, scalability, and compliance.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, and customer success teams to triage issues, provide customer feedback, and influence product improvements.
- Documentation & Best Practices: Create playbooks, runbooks, and technical documentation to scale integration support across customers.
- Continuous Improvement: Gather integration performance metrics, analyze trends, and recommend solutions for optimization.
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
- Customer-Focused Leader: Experience in post-sales technical program management or customer success engineering, with the ability to balance customer needs and technical delivery.
- Healthcare & EMR Expertise: Hands-on experience integrating with EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Athena, or similar).
- Integration Skills: Strong expertise with Mirth Connect for interface design, transformation, and troubleshooting.
- Database & Data Flow Expertise: Solid SQL/database skills (MySQL, SqlServer, etc.) and ability to analyze healthcare data flows across systems.
- Healthcare Standards: Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, CCD, X12, and HIPAA compliance best practices.
- Program Management: Strong organizational skills to lead multiple integration projects simultaneously, driving customer success from kick-off through go-live.
- Collaboration: Excellent stakeholder management skills – able to interface effectively with customer IT, clinicians, internal engineers, and executives.
- Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment, with flexibility to work in on-call rotations or extended support windows if needed.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in EMR integrations, technical program management, and/or healthcare IT support roles.
- Proven track record leading post-sales technical implementation or support programs in healthcare.
- Advanced hands-on knowledge of Mirth Connect (channel development, data transformations, deployments).
- Strong SQL/database troubleshooting experience; ability to deep-dive into data discrepancies.
- Solid understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7 v2, FHIR APIs, CCDs, X12 transactions).
- Familiarity with SaaS environments, containerized services (Kubernetes, Docker), and cloud (Google Cloud Platform preferred).
- Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders (customers, vendors, internal teams) to resolve complex issues.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills – able to translate technical issues into clear business impact for executives and clinicians.
- PMP, CSM, or healthcare IT certifications (e.g., Epic Bridges, HL7 certification) a strong plus.

In compliance with the State of California Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is between $200k - $215k in CA. This range is not inclusive of any discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
