We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior CloudOps Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and Red Hat OpenShift (RHOS) to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about delivering secure, scalable, and automated cloud solutions.
As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the operational management of our Cloud platforms, including Kubernetes and OpenShift management in Azure. You'll ensure the high availability, performance, and security of these environments, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to support and enhance our platform services. A key part of your role will be driving automation initiatives and contributing to the evolution of our GitOps and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide operational support for production cloud and containerized OpenShift cluster environments, including monitoring, incident response, service request fulfillment, and change execution.
• Take ownership of technical issues and drive them to resolution with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver proactive and reactive support across DXC-managed cloud platforms.
• Continuously improve service delivery through automation of repeatable tasks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Enhance monitoring and alerting capabilities to detect and prevent incidents.
• Address root causes through code fixes and design improvements.
• Execute customer service requests within defined scope and SLAs.
• Maintain and evolve cloud environments using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, and configuration management systems.
• Identify and implement operational improvements and automation opportunities.
• Contribute to DevOps transformation initiatives and share knowledge across teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification or equivalent hands-on experience managing enterprise Azure environments.
• Proven experience with Red Hat OpenShift (RHOS) in production environments.
• Strong background in one or more of the following domains: Windows, Linux, Networking, Security, Containers, Active Directory.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) and automation tools.
• Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• Container orchestration: Kubernetes
• Ability to quickly learn and integrate new technologies and frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work around platform limitations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a proactive mindset.
Desirable Experience
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, ARM templates
• Configuration management and orchestration: Ansible, Git/GitHub
• Scripting and automation: Bash, PowerShell, Python, JSON, YAML
• Experience with product such as Dynatrace or Splunk
• Software-defined networking and cloud-native security practices
