Position Summary

As an Admin Assistant within our Transmission team at Oncor, you’ll have accountability for General Plant Work Authorization (WA) creation, project tracking in our system, invoice processing, and Purchasing Card reconciliation. You’re expected to monitor the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Capital budgets through drill-downs and queries to produce routine reports for team meetings. The role is responsible for assisting in the training of others on expense reports, P-Card documentation, Transportation report requirements as well as other duties assigned, as needed, to provide support to the Transmission District Work Centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing of invoices on a monthly basis.
  • Participate in the training of new team members regarding expense report entry.
  • Provide organizational reports on the O&M, General Plant, and Capital budgets on a routine basis.
  • Develop and run assorted queries and reports to assist the organization in the accomplishments of their task and goals.
  • Teams with other Administrative Assistants to order and oversee break room supplies.
  • Create and maintain WA’s in Oncor systems for General Plant items as well as tracking projects.
  • Reconcile Purchasing Cards monthly.
  • Arranges room accommodations for Operations personnel attending meetings and training sessions.
  • Assist in the assembly and creation of training materials and presentations for training events in support of the Equipment Support staff.
  • Performs all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements.

Skills:

  • Proficient in use of office applications such as Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent and 3+ years secretarial or administrative support experience required.
  • Applicants with Transmission Operations experience are encouraged to apply.

Measure of Success:

  • Knowledge of Oncor Electric Delivery operations, policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge and skilled using Oncor related systems and technologies to enter information accurately.
  • Self-driven requiring minimal supervision.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships in and outside of Transmission Equipment Support.
  • High degree of accuracy in assigned tasks and normal duties along with timely completion of duties.
