Along with general administrative duties, you’ll support a variety of areas such as police records, property and evidence, bi-weekly payroll/timekeeping reviews, and other duties that arise. Hours/Schedule: Typical work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm or 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. There may be some flexibility in relation to specific work schedule. Most of the work for this position is completed onsite with a possibility for a limited hybrid in-person/remote work schedule with department approval.We anticipate there will be occasional, weekend overtime associated with biweekly payroll reviews. This overtime will be minimal and may be accomplished remotely.
Successful candidates must pass a comprehensive background check and be able to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) airport badge.

Position Duties
RELATIONSHIPS
Reporting Relationship – Reports to the Records Management Supervisor
Supervision – No direct reports
Organizational – Frequent contact with APD and other MAC staff
External Partners – Contact with Airport tenants and vendors, other law enforcement agencies, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA), prosecuting attorney, Hennepin County Court system, and the public
JOB DUTIES
Customer Service
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers seeking information and/or direction regarding the activities of the Airport Police Department (APD)
- Ensure calls are answered in a timely manner and routed to appropriate department contact
- Greet and assist guests and customers of the APD
Administrative Support
- Perform general administrative duties including typing, filing and mail distribution
- Process certified mail and coordinate shipping/deliveries
- Coordinate maintenance for office equipment, i.e., all in one printer/fax/copiers units
- Assist with scheduling conference rooms
- Enter check requests in financial system
- Validate parking
Property and Evidence Support
- Assist with the intake, inventory, handling and disposition of property and evidence
- Return authorized property to owners and collect fees
- Assist with training officers on use of evidence management software
Records Support
- Distribute BCA lab reports and records management system incident record to investigators
- Complete monthly CJIS Validations
- Process and resolve BCA Suspense Tasks
- Review and e-file warrant cases in court system
- Reviews and fulfills data requests in accordance with MN State and Federal statutes, as needed.
- Citation data entry
- Receive and process credit card payments for police reports
- Manage bail money
- Process DWIs in eCharging system, as needed
Payroll Support
- Review timecards and schedules related to bi-weekly payroll
- Follow-up with employees and supervisors regarding corrections
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in an administrative support role or customer service role
- Ability to effectively interact with the public and employees
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form within a confidential environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Intermediate skill using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Able to multi-task effectively, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines
- Available for occasional, limited overtime
- Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive background check
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Two years post-secondary education
- Previous work experience in a law enforcement environment
- Experience working with an evidence or inventory tracking system
- Experience working with a records management system
- Experience using a scheduling/timekeeping system to enter and track employees’ time
- Prior payroll proofing experience
