What We’re Looking For 

HB is seeking a summer intern to work on the Business Intelligence team, supporting internal reporting, dashboard creation, dashboard maintenance, and process automation. While this role will directly support the Business Intelligence team, this person will have working exposure to cross-divisional teams, such as Advisory, Marketing, CRM, and IT teams. This role receives training on relevant HB processes, procedures, and systems but requires resourcefulness in learning and applying new technical data skills within HB’s ecosystem to meet user needs. You’ll be part of a dynamic, supportive team—learning from the best, developing new skills, and having a great time while you do it! This is a paid internship, beginning May 26, 2026, and running through July 31, 2026. HB offers a well-structured, challenging, and collaborative Summer Intern program.

Your Job Responsibilities

• Learn internal and external data structures 
• Design and build self-sustaining dashboards and tools within the Microsoft Power Platform, tailored to various stakeholders, and in compliance with HB’s security and privacy policies 
• Analyze and interpret complex data to draw meaningful conclusions 
• Prepare and present ad hoc data analysis 
• Collaborate with peers and leaders on projects 
• End of internship capstone project and presentation

Requirements

• Data analysis or data science working skills from personal, school, or previous internship experience
• A rising senior, in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance in a quantitative field or equivalent experience 
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in writing complex SQL queries 
• Problem-solving ability and data curiosity as well as a base-level skillset in data mining, data consolidation, and data visualization 
• Communication skills with ability to communicate concepts in business and technical terms 
• Knowledge of analytics tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Power Query required, with knowledge of Power Automate, Power Apps, Hadoop, Python, R, Alteryx, Google Big Query, Tableau or similar applications nice to have 
• High level of attention to detail, self-motivation, drive, creativity, and analytical skills directed towards accomplishing HB’s goals of serving clients with excellence, accuracy, and efficiency 
• Willingness to learn new tools and processes and adapt to changing priorities 
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively towards collective goals 
• Willingness to use HB-approved Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to perform analyses, build AI agents, and train others to use AI features for analysis
• Must uphold HB’s mission and core values
• Ability to successfully pass criminal background / credit check required

This is not a remote position. Candidates should expect to be in an HB office 5 days per week. Candidates must be local to Atlanta, or willing to relocate.
