The Interim Program Manager will lead a team of Case Managers, and Job Developers in delivering highly intentional development services to 14–24-year-old youth / young adults in the city of Los Angeles with an emphasis on South Los Angeles. The Interim Program Manager will evaluate program progress and will work with schools, city officials, county officials, Los Angeles County Probation, DCFS and other partners to ensure the effectiveness of the program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Oversee a team of YouthSource Center employees and volunteers, ensuring their effective performance
• Formulate and implement strategies to achieve goals outlined in grants and the Brotherhood Crusade's objectives
• Inspire and provide a clear vision for your team and operations
• Develop key performance indicators to track progress and milestone achievements
• Identify and create high-quality programs to address community needs
• Analyze and troubleshoot policy-related issues as they arise
• Provide regular updates and evaluation reports as needed
• Generate reports for both the City of Los Angeles and senior management at Brotherhood Crusade
• Create programs and activities to enhance participant engagement and retention
• Recruit, train, and manage staff specifically for WIOA-related programs
• Manage strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and resource coordination
• Ensure youth are referred to vital services, including medical and dental care, mental health counseling, and emergency services
• Establish program linkages with other Brotherhood Crusade and community initiatives to support families in various areas (afterschool programs, supplement educational services tutoring, childcare, public computer centers, charter schools and workforce development)
• Ensure job training staff provides employment resources, including subsidized work experience, on the- job training, job search resources, and soft skills training to clients
• Prioritize the safety and well-being of all participants, staff, and visitors at the YouthSource Center
• Train compassionate adult staff and maintain a culture of trauma-informed youth development
• Fulfill any other duties as requested or required by the organization

Education/Training:
• Bachelor’s or higher degree
• Master in Social Work (preferred)
• Bilingual (Spanish and English) applicants (preferred)
• Must have 3 or more years of experience in youth workforce development
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in delivering trauma-informed youth development services
• Experience with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program (preferred)
• 2-3 years of budget management experience and expertise
• Must possess a valid California Driver's License.
Related Experience:
• 5 years’ experience of demonstrated equivalent work in operating one or more programs and delivering youth services in a non-profit or private sector
• The ideal candidate shall possess a passion and commitment to the betterment of all individuals, especially low income and at-risk individuals.
• Must have an acuity for alternative/innovative programming; demonstrate patience with “hardest to serve, hardest to teach” individuals; understand and be able to convey the principles of nonprofit
management; understand human nature and be able to provide reasonable counsel; possess
demonstratable management skills; and have a strong public relations background
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work well under pressure and meet deadlines timely
• Excels in collaborating and working in a team environment
• Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Ability work comfortably with people from different creative and technical disciplines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a valid California Driver's License.
Due to our in-person and in office work with LAUSD, City of LA, County of LA and other work partners that require our team to be vaccinated we require that all potential candidates must be COVID-19 vaccinated with either, Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson.
WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND EQUIPMENT USED
The successful candidate will be required to report to and work from the office complex at least five days a week. Offices are traditionally equipped with computers, telephones, desks, chairs, and office machines. Additionally, each office offers an instructional classroom from which orientations and trainings are conducted.
SALARY RANGE:
Benefits and salary will be negotiated based on experience, education, and the needs of the program.

Must be available to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00am – 5:30pm and Wednesday noon - 8:30 pm.
