Position Summary:

Processing incoming/outgoing mail & packages; supervise student workers. First shift: Monday thru Friday 8am-12:15pm.


Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receive mail and log receipt of packages at the Mail Center. Sort and distribute all mail and packages daily. Coordinate positive relationship with USPS, UPS and FedEx and any third-party handlers for outgoing mail. Supervise student workers.
  • Prepare and process outgoing mail in cost-effective, timely manner. Adhere to USPS requirements for all first-class and bulk mail.
  • Coordinate positive, communicative relations with other Mail Room Associate & Student Workers.
  • Prepare business reports as required / requested, including effectively downloading/importing external data for reconciliation and/or decision-making purposes.
  • Oversee working operation of copier and postage machine. Arrange for service if necessary.
  • Distribute campus departmental communications as requested.
  • Coordinate, support and/or execute special projects as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School degree and at least two years of prior office administrative experience in a professional business environment required. Associate's degree in business, accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Proven ability to provide excellent customer service is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and experience working with databases required. The successful candidate will have a high level of integrity, attention to detail, ethics and professionalism. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, flexible, willing and able take initiative, and able to work independently.
