Job Description

  • JOB TITLE: Junior Security Engineer
  • SALARY: £35,340
  • LOCATION(S): Watford - Croxley Green Business Park
  • HOURS: Full-time
  • WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this Opportunity

Are you passionate about IT operations and cyber security? Tusker is looking for a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our IT Operations team. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with our IT Security lead to enhance and maintain our cyber security posture.

What You'll Do:

  • Assisting with day-to-day alerts and logs for our security and SIEM tools the selection of IT security tools, then maintaining these tools.
  • Responding to cyber security alerts.
  • Being day-to-day point of contract for Tusker’s 3rd party cyber security partners.
  • Assisting with cyber security questionnaires when needed.
  • Weekly analysis and raising tickets off Vulnerability scanning and penetration testing tools, both internal and external.
  • Using industry sources to stay current with cyber security trends.

What you’ll need

  • A degree or equivalent experience in Cyber Security.
  • Experience with Enterprise Security Management System
  • Ability to analyse and escalate Cyber threats
  • Adaptability and continuous learning
  • A good understanding of Cryptography
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance.

Experience in the following would be useful:

  • SIEM and PAM systems
  • Cloud security systems
  • Experience with patching firmware and software
  • Writing of IT security documentation
  • Experience with network security tools
