We began providing residential services to individuals living with disabilities in 1977, and in 1984 became the first non-governmental entity in Minnesota to offer waiver case management. Learning and Development Coordinator
FLSA Status: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
FTE: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
Hiring Range: $18.50- $20.00 USD Hourly DOE

Position Overview
The Learning & Development Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Learning & Development team to ensure the effective delivery of training programs across the organization. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate training records, managing training logistics, assisting staff with training access, and supporting trainers in development and coordination of in-person sessions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, people-focused, and familiar with human service programs, especially those under a 245D license.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update training records in Learning Management Systems (LMS) used.
- Maintain a complete and accurate roster of employees and subcontractors in Direct Course.
- Maintain registration and attendance records for required and elective training and conferences. Track invoices and payment for external training and conferences, as needed.
- Track training completion and generate reports for leadership and compliance purposes.
- Ensure documentation and compliance for all required training.
- Assist new hires with accessing required training via Direct Course and UKG Learn, as needed/requested.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding training requirements and access.
- Support the development and formatting of training materials, as requested.
- Send training reminders and follow-up communication to employees and leadership to ensure completion and compliance with required training.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Program Directors, and Senior Leadership regarding training needs; timelines and compliance are met.
- Assist with facilitating in-person training and Orientation, as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must demonstrate competency in the completion of the above noted job responsibilities.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education is preferred.
- 1+ year of administrative experience, preferably in human services, healthcare, or education
- Familiarity with human services programs, with preference given to candidates with 245D experience
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and time management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft office suite and Microsoft Teams and have good typing and phone skills.
- Must be able to display appropriate personal and professional etiquette.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Ability to occasionally flex hours for evening and weekend classes
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to carry/lift 30 pounds
- MVR and DHS Background clearance
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Must be at least 18 years of age
