Description Summary: This is a part to full time technical internship (M-F 40 hours/week) that is assigned to students that are enrolled in an information technology education program. This position is designed to provide entry level projects specifically associated with software testing for the Quality Assurance department. Junior and Senior level students interested in software quality assurance and development should apply. This role can lead to a regular full time position if the successful candidate achieves satisfactory performance during the internship and the company has available positions.
Essential Duties:
The duties listed below are the essential functions of this position, and they may change as the needs of the company demand. All associates are expected to do what is necessary to get the work done and to cooperate fully with their supervisor’s requests for additional or altered duties.
Develop and execute test cases within agile/scrum sprint cycles
- Assist in design and execution of test cases for an accounting software platform.
- Conduct some manual regression testing of software.
- Utilize Azure DevOps Server, Visual Studio
- Be a part of an Agile development environment.
- Complete projects in an efficient and timely manner.
Education/Training/Experience:
- Working towards a college degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
- C# and Unit Testing coding experience required.
- Exposure to SQL, TDD, API, Ansible, Java and Groovy languages a plus.
- Must have strong written and verbal skills in English.
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Specific certifications and trainings adding to the global experience of this profession are welcomed and desired.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to perform work on a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to work in the office regularly, or pivot to working at home should emergency situations arise.
- Ability to attend work per assigned schedule and attend meetings with excellent attendance and punctuality.
