Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Builds and manages long-term customer relationships with key building owners, general contractors, and architectural and engineering firms. Owns and facilitates customer relationships.
  • Demonstrate a proficient working knowledge in implementing the selling cycle from identifying and qualifying prospects and then successfully closing the sale.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of services.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM system.
  • With or without assistance, develops and implements a sales plan. Prospects, qualifies, and grows opportunity pipeline. Responsible for consistent sales growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Utilizes sales tools effectively. Manages the pipeline in Climatec tools, focusing on next steps, action items, and milestones in the sales process.
  • Works within the team as an individual contributor to ensure project success and customer satisfaction. Collaborates with product partners, subcontractors, engineers, project managers, and support colleagues.
  • Create and implement a sales strategy - account management plan to achieve or exceed annual sales plan on a consistent basis.
  • Maintain involvement and account management throughout the complete service sales cycle to ensure complete customer satisfaction
  • Develop technical skills and a clear understanding of current technologies, software, and best industry practices geared toward Climatec’s offerings.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3+ years of sales experience in one or more of the following industries: Fire Alarm, Electronic Security, or Building Automation Controls.
  • 3+ years of sales experience, including customer interaction, understanding client needs, and presenting solutions based on the sales cycle.
  • Excellent communication, organization, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proven track record meeting and exceeding sales targets within the Building Automation and/or Security and Life Safety industries.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Familiarity with MS Office software and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites throughout Southern Arizona as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of service-related sales experience in Building Automation, Fire Alarm, or Security and Life Safety.
  • 5+ years leading sales teams to meet and exceed sales quotas
  • 5+ years’ experience working with sales analytics tools and software systems
  • 5+ years’ experience of prospecting new business opportunities without warm leads 
  • Prior experience working with HVAC operations in facilities or the controls field is strongly preferred.
  • Manufacturer and/or industry training certifications specific to building technologies and/or Security and Life Safety.
  • Experience with the construction bidding process.
  • Experience with network and telecom system applications as well as related low voltage systems.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Be able to lift and carry, drawings, personal computers, material, and spend significant time sitting etc.
  • Be able to lift up to 20lbs.
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • On a typical day, be able to spend significant time sitting, standing, walking, climbing a flight of stairs, conducting field surveys and delivering presentations

  • The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated.  Noise levels are considered low to moderate
