Position Summary

The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for supporting the sales team and customers by placing, tracking and fulfilling purchase orders. The successful candidate will have experience and a proven history supporting IT sales. She/he will be responsible for meeting and/or exceeding individual performance objectives as established by your manager. This job description is not all-inclusive.


Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to our clients
  • Resolve issues regarding returns, shipping discrepancies, order, and invoicing discrepancies
  • Support and back-up other purchasing agents in their absence and/or work volume
  • Provide accurate order entry, paying close diligence in emails, orders, and vendor quotes
  • Respond to customers/vendors/account executives in timely fashion with a sense of urgency
  • Ensure that the CRM is accurate and up to date
  • Demonstrate strong people and business leadership skills


Minimum Qualifications

  • College Degree preferred or equivalent in related field is preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of IT business experience
  • Detail oriented, with strong data entry, account, and time management skills
  • Experience with procurement processes
  • Learn and understand company's sales tools and processes
  • Initiative-taking with the ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
  • Prior experience with CRM systems such as NetSuite or Salesforce a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong customer presentation skills
  • Team player
