Primary Responsibilities:
Support the management of a Windows based network utilized by 100+ users:
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone, email or remotely by performing troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
- Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers.
- Walk the customer through the problem-solving process.
- Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
- Provide information on CRL IT products or services.
- Record events and problems and their resolution in the ticketing system.
- Follow-up and update customer status and information.
- Pass on feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team including identifying and suggesting possible improvements on procedures.
Support the IT Team and Leadership:
- Conduct technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, schedule, and compatibility.
- Evaluate vendor products and make recommendations for hardware/software purchases.
- Contribute to the development of documentation to support compliance to the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Process and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
- Support the development of information security policies and procedures.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned and participate in special projects as required. Apply knowledge of marking, handling, and dissemination of classified material and information.
Task Performed:
Demonstrated Knowledge:
- Providing technical and end-user support in person and over the phone.
- Diagnosing and resolving PC, server, and printer problems.
- Using remote access/diagnostics software such as RDP, Splashtop, etc.
- Managing network switches and operations and support.
- Researching problems, analyzing trends, and distributing findings.
Required Education: Candidate must have an Associate’s Degree in computer science, Cyber Security, or Information Systems.
Experience: Candidate must have at least four (4) years of experience with IT help desk support.
Experience using and configuring:
- Windows 10/11 (Pro/Enterprise)
- Microsoft Office Suite (365 and desktop)
- Apple iOS
- Windows Server OS (2012 R2 and later)
- Secure Host Baseline (SHB)
Allowable Experience/Education Substitutions: Experience can be substituted for education.
