Job Description Summary

Organization's Summary Statement:
As an integral member of the central Office of Donor Relations team, the Program Manager for Donor Relations, Impact Reporting will manage all comprehensive impact reports for Maryland’s most generous donors. This position will work with University Relations colleagues in the units, university leadership, faculty and students to craft compelling, impact-focused reports for donors who give $1 million or more to the university. This position will skillfully work with stakeholders across campus, including leadership, units, and the Office of Marketing and Communications, to produce highly-customized and personalized reports that showcase the donor’s transformative impact at the university. Once crafted, the program manager will ensure the timely delivery of the reports each year.

The Program Manager will support scholarship recipient profile creation for donors with a named fund to the Maryland Promise Program and other university priority funds, working in conjunction with the Assistant Director for Donor Recognition. Additionally, the program manager will support the Assistant Director of Scholarship Administration and Stewardship in producing annual scholarship recipient profiles for $5M+ donors, select 1856 Society donors and top corporate donors as needed, who’s scholarship support benefits multiple schools and colleges within the university.

This position will report to the Associate Director of Donor Relations, Principal Gifts
and Special Projects and support all principal-level reporting efforts throughout the university’s forthcoming campaign.


Physical Demands:
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events and programs. Some travel required (5% of the time).


Preferences:
-Superb written and oral communication skills
-Experience in crafting compelling donor reports, letters, and other stewardship materials.
-Detail oriented and skilled at multitasking.
-Previous experience in marketing or communications

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Experience: Five (5) years of professional fundraising, gift administration, stewardship, or donor relations experience. Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education. Knowledge of event coordination, donor relations, and stewardship in a complex environment.Skill in oral and written communication.Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products. Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
