Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks

This General Mechanic position could work in any department of this beef processing facility. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are required in all areas and must be able to climb up/down stairs and ladders. Lifting is required in many areas (weight depends upon area). These positions work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment and these areas have slippery walking surfaces. Must be mechanically inclined. Welding experience preferred.

Requirements

Maintenance crews work 6-7 days per week, with 2-3 days off. Scheduling can include some major holidays.

All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and pass a urinalysis screening, which is part of the post-offer health assessment.

MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR MECHANIC WORK
EXPERIENCE DOCUMENTED IN THE WORK HISTORY SECTION
OF APLICATION OR BE A GRADUATE OF AN INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TRAINING PROGRAM (CAN BE COMINATION OF EXPLOYERS AS LONG AS EXPERIENCE IS
AT LEAST 1 YEAR)

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson have minimum waiting period of 180 days and a 3 time employment limit for this location.
