Compensation:       Stipend of $4,000 total for the duration of the program(equivalent to approximately $19.05/hour. This does not include lodging)    

Hours Per Week:    21 Hours  

Location:                 Atlanta, GA (Must be local to location of office)

End Date:                December 19, 2025

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Department Overview

The Office of the President leads UNCF’s strategic direction, external engagement, and organizational leadership. The team supports high-level initiatives, manages executive communications, and fosters collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders.

 

Job Overview:

The intern will support the Office of the President by assisting with administrative tasks, research, communications, and coordination efforts. This role offers hands-on experience in executive operations and exposure to strategic leadership activities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 

  • Assist in preparing internal and external communications, memos, and briefing materials
  • Support meeting coordination, including scheduling, note-taking, and follow-ups
  • Conduct background research and compile reports on topics relevant to executive priorities
  • Help organize special events and engagements hosted by the President’s Office
  • Maintain and update key documents, contact lists, and filing systems
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth information flow
  • Perform general administrative duties as assigned

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

 

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in a relevant field. 
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher preferred. 
  • Prior experience in administrative support or research preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration tools 

 

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

The intern will have opportunities to attend meetings and events with the President and CEO.
