Job Description
About the Team: ZF Axle Drives LLC in Marysville, Michigan, is a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant that manufactures axle drives for Stellantis. The facility offers ample growth opportunities and maintains a workforce of 500+ dedicated employees. With two main areas—assembly and machining—the new manufacturing engineer will focus on the assembly area, collaborating closely with the maintenance department. Their primary responsibility will be providing on-line support for the assembly lines and enhancing their efficiency.
What you can look forward to as a Manufacturing Engineer:
- Responsible for maintaining production line performance and related problem-solving activities.
- Responsible for planning, testing, and assisting in the implementation of preventative actions in the production lines in order to establish and verify capable and stable production processes in terms of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Responsible for non-critical changes in production processes in cooperation with product engineering, assembly engineering & systems support where applicable.
- Investigate and recommend resolution to issues associated with non-conforming parts.
- Assist 8D investigations or similar corrective action processes derived from product and process audits, from internal quality investigations, or customer complaints.
- Develop and maintain reject and teardown procedures.
- Track PDCA items related to fallout and follow up to task owners on progress.
- Coordinate product/assembly engineering tasks or projects at the manufacturing plant level.
Your profile as a Manufacturing Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Interpersonal skills, project management skills, technical skills and exceptional work ethic.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software and CAD.
- Basic understanding of GD&T.
- TS16949 awareness training.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
